Mutual Funds
After analyzing hedge funds, in this report we are going to talk about mutual funds. What is then a mutual fund?
A mutual fund is a type of financial vehicle consisting of a pool of money raised from many investors to invest in securities such as stocks, bonds, money market instruments and other assets.
Unlike hedge funds, they allow small or individual investors access to professionally managed portfolios of stocks, bonds and other securities. Anyone who participates becomes a shareholder and, therefore, shares proportionally the fund's gains or losses.
